Important: We do NOT collect all your personal information. We follow a strict "data minimization" principle and only collect what is absolutely necessary for our core financial tracking functionality.

We collect only essential information needed for app functionality. We do NOT collect:

Financial Data (Local Only): Transaction records, account balances, budgets, and categories you voluntarily create and store locally on your device.
App Preferences: Language settings, display preferences, and app configuration (stored locally).

1.2 Information Automatically Collected (Anonymous)

Device Information (Anonymous): Basic device type and OS version for app compatibility (no unique identifiers).
Usage Analytics (Anonymous): Feature usage patterns to improve the app (fully anonymized, no personal data).
Crash Reports (Anonymous): Technical error data to fix bugs (contains no personal or financial information).

            🛡️ Data Minimization: We collect the absolute minimum data required. Most features work

            📊 No Data Analytics: We do NOT use your data for marketing, advertising, or sell it to

            cannot read your financial information even if we wanted to.
        

3.1 Local Storage (Recommended)

Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync it.

All financial data stays on your device only
No internet connection required for core features
Complete privacy - your data is physically inaccessible to us
You have full control over your data at all times

3.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)

Only when you voluntarily choose to log in with Google:

Data is encrypted before transmission using industry-standard encryption
Stored on Google servers with their enterprise-grade security
You can delete cloud data anytime by logging out
Cloud sync is completely optional - you can use the app offline forever

3.3 Security Measures

End-to-End Encryption: Data encrypted on your device before any transmission
Zero Access: We cannot access your data without your explicit permission
Secure Transmission: All network communication uses TLS 1.3 encryption
Regular Audits: Our code and practices are regularly security audited

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

            🚫 No Data Selling: We NEVER sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone.

We are extremely restrictive about data sharing. We may share information only in these rare circumstances:

With Your Explicit Consent: Only when you specifically choose to share data (e.g., cloud sync)
Legal Obligations: Only when legally required by court order, and only the minimum data necessary

Third-Party Services We Use:

Google Play Services (for app distribution and optional sign-in)
App Store services (for app distribution and payments)
No advertising networks or analytics companies

5. Google Account Integration (Optional)

Google Sign-In is completely optional and only used for cross-device sync. When you choose to sign in:

Limited Access: We only access basic profile information (name, email) for account creation
Separate Storage: Your financial data is encrypted and stored completely separate from Google
Easy Revocation: You can disconnect Google account anytime in app settings or Google account settings
No Google Data Usage: We don't use your Google data for any other purposes

            🔄 Cloud Sync is Optional: You can use MoneyMate forever without ever logging in. All
            features work perfectly offline.
        

6. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data. Your rights include:

Full Ownership: Your financial data belongs to you - we are just temporary custodians
Complete Deletion: Delete all your data instantly by uninstalling the app
Data Export: Export all your financial data in standard formats anytime
Opt-out Anytime: Stop cloud sync and delete cloud data with one tap
No Data Lock-in: Your data is never trapped in proprietary formats
Access Requests: Request details about any data we store (though it's minimal)

Data Retention

Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
Cloud Data: Automatically deleted when you log out or after 2 years of inactivity
Anonymous Data: Usage analytics are deleted within 90 days

7. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside of our primary service regions, please note:

Your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries where we operate
All transfers are protected by adequate safeguards and comply with applicable data protection laws
We ensure the same level of protection regardless of where your data is processed

8. Children's Privacy

MoneyMate is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

Give you time to review the changes before they take effect
